Silvio Cammarata

Silvio Cammarata, of Apex, NC surrounded by his loving family, peacefully left his physical body and entered the spiritual world in Paradise, where his loved ones awaited his arrival and led him toward the light of Jesus.

Silvio, a beloved husband, father and nonno is preceded in Heaven by his parents, Filippo Cammarata and Venera Drago; and brother, Alfonso.

His legacy is carried on by his wife, Josephine; son, Philip and his wife, Allison; daughters, Ven and her husband, Justin, Lori and her husband, John; grandchildren, Matthew, Alyna, Maddie, Izzy, PJ and Sofia; siblings, Sebastiano, Rita, Teresa, Silvana, Maria, Rosetta; and many nieces, nephews, friends and customers who loved him dearly.

Silvio, an immigrant from Aidone, Sicily came to America like many others to fulfill the “American Dream.” He arrived to New York in the early 1970s and brought the biggest vision of success and new beginnings. Along his journey, he met his beautiful wife and happily began his family with love and dedication. Silvio was more than a man, we prefer to call him a legend. His restaurants thrived in his hands but will continue to succeed in the hands of his wife, children and grandchildren. His American Dream is truly a reality and will continue to be so.

Thank you my husband, papa and nonno for all you patiently taught us. What you left is an impact and eternal love that will live on with all of us and we will continue your hard work to make you proud and to always do right by you.

Family will receive friends and guests on Monday, September 19, 2022 from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Apex Funeral Home. A funeral mass will be held on Tuesday, September 20, 2022 at 1:00 PM at St. Andrews the Roman Catholic Church, Apex, NC followed by placement at his final place of rest at Wake Memorial Park, Cary, NC.
