Sherri is survived by her husband of 43 years Michael Cox, daughter Stacey Moyer (Wes), son Stephen Cox (Corinne), and son Jason Cox (Amy). 7 grandchildren Presley, Rylee, Easton, June, Cannon, Taylor & Grace. Brothers Kenneth G Jones Jr. (Sandy) and Daniel W Jones (Cindy).
Preceded in death by her parents Kenneth G. Jones Sr and Juanita Jones.
In 1977, Sherri married the love of her life, Michael Cox. Together they built a beautiful godly marriage of 43 years, raising their children, loving on 7 grandchildren and expecting the arrival of the 8th grandchild in December. Their marriage was a true example of unconditional love, grounded in foundation of faith and commitment.
Sherri was a loving mother and Nana, her family being the joy of her life. She was always available to listen, to instruct, to nurture, but most importantly to provide a foundation of love for her children and grandchildren. She had a unique ability to balance laughter and wisdom while providing timely valuable life lessons. Her children and grandchildren felt that when they spoke to her, they were the only ones in the room.
She worked as a nurse for 40 years with her last 18 years in the healthcare center at SAS in Cary. Her smile and laugh were contagious, and her coworkers and patients loved her as a result of her servants’ heart.
A true woman of God, her faith was evidenced by the way she choose to conduct her life. She loved the Lord and sought to live her life in a manner that glorified Him in all she did.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 30th at 10:00 am at Summit Church. Funeral Service will be held on Friday October 30th at 11am at Summit Church, 3000 Lufkin Road, Apex NC. Graveside following in Maple Hill, NC 3pm on Friday.
