Ruth was born August 7, 1924 in Pitt County, NC to the late Hubert and Mary Tripp Mozingo. She was employed with the Florida Citrus Commission retiring with over 20 years of service. Ruth was an avid gardener and enjoyed hosting and cooking for her family. She was a member of The Disciples of Christ Christian Church in Lakeland, FL.
She was preceded in death by her son, Flynn Hardee.
Ruth is survived by her daughter, Carolyn Hodges and husband, Lindsey; son, Roger Hardee and wife, Lisa; daughter-in-law, Katherine Hardee; sister, Joyce Cutler; eight grandchildren; twelve great grandchildren and one great great grandchild.
A memorial service will be held 2 pm Friday, January 26, 2018 at Apex Funeral Home, 550 W. Williams St, Apex, NC 27502. The family will receive friends 1-2 pm prior to the service.
