Rest in peace my brother Bob.  It is time for the troubles of this world to fade away.   May the Lord embrace you and welcome you.  And may he walk between us when we are parted.

I would like to express my condolences to you and your family for the loss of a devoted father and husband. Please know that you’re in my thoughts and prayers.

It was an honor and privilege to work for Robert since the first day he started working for Pacer. He was a very kind, considerate and understanding boss to work with and he truly will be missed.

He was very proud of his family and all the achievements the boys accomplished. I will miss hearing the Proud Dad stories.

He will remain in our hearts forever. God Bless you all.

I have had the pleasure of knowing Robert and enjoying his company and his insights as a trusted colleague . Robert's concern for his fellow employees was exemplary, his genuine concern for his staff was always foremost in his working life and made a real difference to those who knew him. Robert's enthusiasm for his work, his technical knowledge and wide ranging general knowledge ensured that he was respected by all, not just as a caring human but also as an invaluable source of information. His love and pride in his family was ever present. In short Robert was a joy to work with, and was respected by all. His untimely passing leaves a void that we will struggle to fill.

I only had the chance to know Robert for a little over a year, but in that short time, he made a lasting impact on me and everyone he worked with. He had such a positive outlook on life, always looking ahead, always focused on the good. What stood out the most was how much he loved his family. He spoke about his boys with so much pride and joy that I genuinely felt like I knew them. You could feel how deeply he cared, and it made you appreciate what an incredible father and man he was.

It was truly a pleasure to work with him and share conversations when we crossed paths. His absence will be felt deeply, but the impression he left behind won’t fade. My heart goes out to his family. I’m so sorry for your loss. Wishing you peace and comfort during this time.

My heartfelt condolences to all the family. I had the pleasure of meeting Robert through work.  Robert a respected and appreciated partner to Excelitas for many years.  But mostly, through the years, Robert became a great friend to me. He was so proud of his family and we would often talk about each and every one of you. I will miss his smile, kindness, authenticity, humor and our chats tremendously.  Sending you courage and prayers during this difficult time. God bless.

I have been thinking about what to write about my cousin Robert.  As we grew up in different states NJ and NY, the families got together too sparingly.  He was the son of my uncle and I was the son of his aunt. 

This beautiful gathering happened in 2019 with our two families after we recognized we wanted to spend more quality visits together.

I met Bob within the last two years while traveling with him for business. We really go to know each other well on those trips, and we shared many calls afterwards talking about sports, guitars, his family & mine. He was especially supportive during my wife's cancer treatments, as he went through much of the same things during his recovery efforts. He fondly spoke about his family, and I truly believe he was a great husband and an outstanding father. He was a lot of fun to be around, and I will miss him greatly.

RIP, Robert . . . and save a bar seat for me when it's my time so we can get caught up.

Lightning struck the day Bob was born to create a person of remarkable talents—extraordinary intelligence, musical brilliance, and athleticism. But even more striking was his wit: quick, incisive, and utterly original.

I’ve known Bob since our days working at Traino’s farm market in Mount Laurel. We became fast friends, bonded by a shared curiosity—often scientific, often ridiculous. How hard does a rusty head of lettuce need to be thrown against the fridge wall before it explodes? Which is more disgusting, a rotten potato or a rotten onion? We were irreverent, but also serious and diligent. It was a magical blend of silliness and coming of age.

Not long after Bob finished college, I convinced him to move to Atlanta and join me at Cross Systems. We became roommates—and that was another lightning strike. Lifelong friendships were born—with Rob Basil, Richard Graham, Jim Krutak, and Bill Maxwell. And thanks to Rob and Alison, Bob met Michelle.

Bob’s sense of humor was truly one of a kind. Give him the seed of a joke and he’d grow it into a whole forest.

Once, after my sister Laurie lost her job, the song Desire by U2 came on the radio. I swapped in the words “You’re Fired” as a half-drunken joke from the couch. Bob grabbed his guitar. Twenty minutes later, he’d written a full parody. We performed it for Laurie while she laughed and cried as I sang, “My sister, she got laid off. Now she got no money, money, money…” Cruel? Maybe. Funny? Undeniably.

Another time, someone offhandedly said that the AIM-7 missile would be better if it were “relentless.” Bob took that and ran. He sketched the “AIM-Mule” missile—slow, patient, and unstoppable. It would track its target for weeks, maybe months, and strike while its target casually ate breakfast. The drawing was as detailed as a technical schematic for an F-16—and far more hilarious.

Bob was like a brother to me—a younger one, but smarter, funnier, more talented, and more athletic. I’ll miss him more than I can say.

We have known the Schwab family for a long time. When our daughter, Emily, was born they were one of the first families that we met in our Down syndrome community. They like many other families were very supportive. I still remember talking to Robert on the first day and realized he was a well liked guy. He was always there to support his wife and family. Our sympathy goes out to Michelle and her family. Robert was a really good man who will be missed by all of us.

Our sincerest sympathy and love to Kelly and her family. May you be comforted by warm memories of Bob. You've gained a Guardian Angel.

Bob was my only sibling.  He was smart, accomplished, funny, and fearless.  His boys Matthew, Ben, and Will are  the finest young men I'll ever know. Even though Bob was younger, I always  looked up to and admired him, even moreso since the passing of our dear father in 2018.  I am so proud to be his sister, and I will carry him in my heart forever until we meet again. Rest comfortably, Bob. You did good here. Mom and I love you with all of our hearts. I hope you send me a sign from time to time.

Bob was my great "best friend" since 2nd grade. We were the 2 fastest runners in the class, which of course, made us very, very good friends, very, very quickly. We also shared the same sense of humor starting very childlike all the way up to our adulthood. I'm very fortunate to have spent a long weekend with Bob as recently as a year or so ago, and we had a fantastic time. He will be greatly missed by many, many people whose lives he has touched.
