Robert “Robbie” Michael Russo, was born on April 26, 2002. He lived his life the way other’s only wish they could, with love, humor, honesty and vigor. Every day was the best day; every holiday and trip, every meal better than he had ever experienced.
Robbie was a graduate of the 2020 class of Holly Springs High School, a forever Hawk, manager of the varsity baseball team and the creator of fun-tastic Fridays. His endearing and booming voice could be heard around those halls and on the field. In 2019, he was crowned homecoming king, one of his most treasured memories.
In the fall of 2020, Robbie started at Wake Technical Community College studying Communication Broadcasting. He embodied the love of learning and eagerly allowed all of the family to “audit” his classes.
On November 30, 2021 at the age of 19 years old, Robbie was in a car crash from which his body was unable to recover. His noble wish of being an organ donor was granted, and his gift gave two other people life.
Yours truly, Robbie Russo, a hero in life and death, is survived by his father Frank, his mother Jennifer, his brother Aidan, his step-father Bryan, his step-siblings Madison and Cooper, adoring grandparents, aunts, uncles and cousins.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that you make a donation to the charity of your choice to honor Robbie’s everlasting kindness, helpfulness and love.
Memories saturate our hearts, dear Robbie, and the story of you will forever spill from our eyes.
Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared at www.apexfuneral.net for the Russo family.
