Robert Larry Hutchens

Robert graduated from Apex High School, where he was involved in wrestling. After graduating in 1982, he went into the US Navy. He moved back to Apex, where he met up with his highschool girlfriend Tracie and they were married in 1991 and had two sons, Dustin and Tanner. He created his business as an electrician; opening RTP Electric, Inc. in 1998. During his free time, Robert loved to hunt and fish. He liked pig pickin's and hanging out with his friends at the bar or playing horseshoes. He was very proud when both of his boys joined the Marines.

He is survived by his wife Tracie Hood Hutchens, of Emerald Isle, NC; sons Dustin Hutchens, of Willow Spring and Robert "Tanner" Hutchens and his wife Renee and Alex (grandson), of Lansing, MI; mother: Maxine Hutchens of Apex; sisters: Allyson and David Teem and Kelly and Jamie Nicholson.

Family will celebrate his life on January 11, 2025 at Backstage Pub beginning at 3:00 pm and then at The One Nine beginning at 7:00 pm. All are welcome.
