Martha Bryant Clark Bailey

Martha Bryant was born July 6, 1926 in Durham, NC to the late William Bryant Clark and Grace Pickler Clark. She was a graduate of Needham Broughton High School in Raleigh and owned and operated Bailey's Florist in Apex for many years. Martha Bryant was a member of Apex Baptist Church and the Dubbleman-Olive Life Group Sunday School Class. She also enjoyed fellowship with her friends as member of the Golden Age Club in Apex.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James Albert Bailey; and son-in-law, Cliff Schompert.

Martha Bryant is survived by her daughters, Jane Pearson and her husband, Jim; and Doris Schompert; four grandchildren, Jeni McAllister, Mike Schompert and wife, Karen, Lisa Singleton and husband, Kevin, and David Pearson and wife, Angie; and seven great grandchildren, Maddie, Sara, Ethan, Ryan, Kaitlyn, Colten, and Landon.

A funeral service will be held 11am Tuesday, June 22, 2021 at Apex Funeral Home Chapel, 550 W. Williams St., Apex, NC 27502. Burial will follow at Apex Cemetery. The family will receive friends 10-11am prior to the service at the funeral home.
