Linda earned her Bachelor’s degree in education from Texas Tech University. After having resided in Kansas, Florida, and Mississippi as part of Richards’s career, the family moved to Apex, NC in 1991. She worked for the Eva H. Perry Library in Apex over 14 years where she met new friends to share her passion of Books and Quilting. She enjoyed traveling and was always ready for a new adventure including a tour of Europe with coworkers and trips on a motorcycle with her husband to the Grand Canyon, Maine and places between. She had a special place in her heart for animals and especially a Chihuahua named Poncho who was her constant companion for 12 years. Her family will remember her as a loving wife, mother, sister, friend and teacher who will be missed and loved dearly.
Linda was a tremendous supporter to her family, her husbands and his career, her son and his passion for cooking and her daughter’s interest in art and nature.
Linda is survived by her husband Richard, her daughter Alison Rose Berner and her husband Joseph Easterling, son Jonathan Carl Berner and his wife Monica; her sister Velma Colleen Miller, brother Richard Keith Wooten.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial contributions in her memory be made to your favorite Pet Charity.
