Harry T. Beasley, age 91, died on December 19, 2021 after a short illness. Harry was born on November 20, 1930. He was the youngest son of four, born to John G. Beasley and May Beam Beasley. Born at home in Apex, he spent his entire life there except for a few of his teen years in Louisville, Kentucky.
Harry leaves behind a daughter, Carolyn Beasley; a son, David Beasley (Beth); and grandson, Cody Allred (Rachel).
He was preceded in death by his wife of 47 years, Peggie Miller Beasley; daughter, Beverlie Beasley Allred; grandson, Shane Arneson; and wife of 13 years, Shirley Harris Beasley.
Harry is best known for being owner of Apex Grocery, Beasley's Store. He started off with his father, John and brother, Dick. His career spanned 50 years.
He attended and graduated from Apex High School, where he played football. Following high school he entered the National Guard and served for 8 years.
He loved to hunt, fish, garden and tell stories of all his buddies and store customers. He loved his family and enjoyed traveling with them and having family get togethers.
A funeral service will be held on Thursday, December 23, 2021 at 2pm at Apex Baptist Church. The family will receive friends 1pm - 2pm prior to the service.
