Bryce Nicholas Scott

Bryce Nicholas Scott, 18, of Cary and Wilmington, left this earth on February 23, 2012. Bryce was the beloved son of Janet Allshouse Scott and Wallace Michael Scott. He was born in Mountain View, CA on February 25, 1993. Bryce graduated from Apex High School, subsequently making his dream of attending UNC Wilmington a reality when he entered as a freshman in the fall of 2011. On November 5, 2011, Bryce pledged Tau Kappa Epsilon Fraternity and was a proud and enthusiastic member, serving as Public Relations Chair. He treasured his TKE brothers. Bryce swam year round for most of his life and also played ice hockey. He enjoyed cooking and fishing at Wrightsville Beach. No matter where Bryce went, he made friends. He loved each one and they loved him. Bryce loved his family, most especially his MaMaw and PaPaw, the latter who was there to meet him last Thursday.

Bryce is survived by his mother: Janet Scott of Cary; father: Mike Scott of Wake Forest; brother: Brett Scott of Chapel Hill; maternal grandmother: Ora Lee Allshouse of Cary. He is also survived by his stepmother Joanne Gleeson, and her sons Alex, Michael, and Chris. He is preceded in death by his maternal grandfather: Blair Allshouse; paternal grandparents: Wallace Mar Scott and Ruth McKay Scott. Bryce also left behind his beloved pets: Koty, Jamie, William, Constance, his brothers at Tau Kappa Epsilon and many many wonderful friends.

In his short time here with us, Bryce touched countless people with his warmth and caring. He was known for his generosity and his commitment to his friends. All who knew him will remember how he loved life and it loved him back. His smile lit up the room.

A celebration of Bryce's Life will be held on Saturday, March 3, 2012 at 3:00pm at the Apex United Methodist Church, 100 South Hughes Street, Apex, NC.
