Born 3/25/44 in Littlefork, Minnesota. Died 8/26/11 at home in Coon Rapids with his family at his side. Preceded in death by parents Virginia and Corwin; and brother, Rick. Survived by wife of 28 years, Sandra; children Julie Michels , Andrew Phillips, Michelle Miller (Julie Sevig) and Wade (Mary) Miller; 9 grandchildren; brother, Randy (Nancy); many nieces, nephews and close friends. Retired from Minneapolis Public Schools as an Electrical instructor at Minneapolis Technical College. Served in the US Army and the Air Force National Guard. Larry was the Commander of Edward B. Cutter Post 102 American Legion , Commander of the Tenth District American Legion and a member of Voyager 390 40/8. Memorial Service 4pm Thursday, Sept. 8 at Zion Lutheran Church, 1601 4th Ave. S, Anoka. Visitation 5-8 pm Wednesday with a Legion service at 7pm all at Gearhart Anoka Chapel, 552 East River Rd., Anoka. Interment Fort Snelling National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorials preferred.
