Mass of Christian Burial will be Friday, October 4, 10:30am at The Church of the Epiphany, 11001 Hanson Blvd. NW, Coon Rapids, with visitation one hour before at 9:30am, with the Rev. Patrick Parks officiating. Burial will be at Epiphany Cemetery in Coon Rapids.
Kettie was born in Tyler, MN and graduated from Central High in Sioux City, Iowa. She soon moved to Omaha, Nebraska and became a lifelong Cornhuskers football fan. She worked with the Army Corps of Engineers, starting as an editor, took night classes at U of N @ Omaha, retiring as a community planner in the Planning Division. Retirement brought her to Yuma, AZ where she joined the Newcomers Club and energetically volunteered at Immaculate Conception Church in any way she could. She loved spending time with friends and family and an ice-cold Old Milwaukee Light.
She was preceded in death by her parents Mike and Rose Parks, her brother Ron, sister-in-law Ann Parks, twin sister Colleen (Pat) Newman, nephew Doug Newman.
Survivors include her nieces and nephews, John Parks, Jolene (Bruce) Blake, Mike (Jan) Parks, Rev. Patrick Parks, Timothy Parks, Colleen Horn, Daniel Parks, and Katie (Matt) Moran.
