Survivors include his wife who he met when he was 16 and she was 14, they have been in love ever since that day and have been married for 15 years, Marcia Woodard Headrick; daughter, Amanda June Headrick Adams (Ryan); sons, Daniel Putman (Rachel), Nick Putman (Christina), Jeremy Putman (Carrie), Christopher Headrick and Brandon Headrick (Deanna); father, Tommy Doyle Headrick; brother, David Keith Headrick (Glenda); grandchildren, Lane Putman, Brianna Putman, Lyle Nelson, Wren Headrick, Brandon Putman, Brittany Putman, Julian Adams, Emory Headrick, Kalyn Champion Crabtree (Jerith), Anna Putman, Jonas Adams and Kevin Karimi; great-grandchildren, Jade and Belle Crabtree; and nieces, Summer Lee and Alisha Willingham and nephew, Justin Keith Headrick and many grand nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his mother, Carolyn Jean Avans Headrick and sons, Eugene Headrick and Michael Headrick.
Pallbearers will be his sons, grandson and nephews.
He was a native of Calhoun County and attended Alexandria High School, Gadsden State and JSU. Tommy was Cowboy Howard on the morning show for Alabama 100. He served many years as a deputy sheriff where he received numerous commendations for his excellent service. Tommy was 32 degree Scottish Rite Freemason. He was a member of Victory Baptist Church and was a veteran of the U.S. Navy.
