Robert "Q-Ball" Lee Morrison, age 82, of Anniston, Alabama passed away on Tuesday, April 6, 2021. "Q-Ball" was born April 6, 1939 in AL. He passed away surrounded by his wife, children, and grandchildren who affectionately knew him as Pops.
"Q-Ball" is survived by his wife, Martha Jane Morrison; daughters Robbie Morrison, Sonja Deno wife of John Deno; and Laura Calkins wife of Clay Calkins; Grandchildren: Jessica Brown wife of Will Brown, Mattie Jackson, Joseph Deno, Jason Howard, Marilou Jackson, Morris Jackson, Faith Deno; brother Dan Morrison husband of Martha Morrison; brother-in-law James Harry McFall; and many nieces and nephews.
"Q-Ball" was preceded in death by his parents Daniel and Jessie Morrison; family members Rachel Bright; Katie Rice; Doris Trotter and Patsy Kilgore.
Funeral services for "Q-Ball" will be held Friday, April 9, 2021 at 2:00 PM at Gray Brown Service Mortuary. Burial will follow at Forestlawn Gardens. The family will receive friends one hour prior at the funeral home.
Serving as pallbearers are Morris Jackson, John Deno, Joseph Deno, Clay Calkins, Jason Howard and Will Brown. Honorary pallbearers include Bryan Hearod, Tim Brown,Cooper Turner Jr., Robert "Smokey" Patrick, and Wayne Vaughn.
"Q-Ball" was a member of the Anniston High School graduating class of 1958. He attended Jacksonville State University from 1958 to 1960, He served as an Army Reservist for six years (1962 to 1968). He was a member of the Alabama Cattlemen's Association and former Calhoun County Poultry Association President. He taught Sunday school and bible study in the children's department. "Q-Ball" was a former member of Grace Baptist church, most recent member of the Orchard Baptist Church.
