Mildred Laughlin Self Collins

Funeral services for Mrs. Mildred Laughlin Self Collins, 90, of Anniston will be Friday, February 24, 2017 at 1 p.m. at Eulation United Methodist Church with Rev. Sherri Reynolds officiating with burial to follow in the church cemetery. All the family will visit at 11am and will welcome friends at 11:30 am until service time at the church.

In lieu of flowers family request donation to be made to the cemetery fund at Eulaton United Methodist Church.

Mrs. Collins passed on February 21, 2017 at Gadsden RMC after a short illness.

Mrs. Collins is survived by her husband of 63 years, Ira Collins; children, Wanda Collins-Robertson (Richard), and Ira Lynn Collins; sister, Carolyn Joiner; brothers, Donald Laughlin, and R.E. Laughlin; and son-in-law, Don Phillips.

Mrs. Collins was preceded in death by her daughter, Gloria Phillips; parents and a host of siblings.

Pallbearers will be family and friends.

The family would like to extend a very special thanks to Jerry and Melissa Tinsley, owners of Oak Landing Assisted Living and Specialty Care Facility in Attalla, for going above and beyond their calling in providing a facility so full of love and care making her days there her happy home. We thank them for extending that love and ministering to us during her stay there and through her demise. We thank God for placing them in our journey of life and adding to our extended family. We thank the staff at Oak Landing and Gadsden RMC for the wonderful services provided. Our prayers are that all will come to know the love of Jesus knowing there is no hope without Him making Him your Savior and Lord.
