On September 3rd, 2021, Mary Jo Greenwood passed away peacefully in her sleep. She was 89 years old. A lifelong Alabama native, and proud member of Mount Zion Baptist Church where Jo was well-loved. She was the mother of six children whom she always provided support and love for. She and her husband Jack were married for 71 years. Jo’s greatest love was her family. And all her children were proud to call her mom. She was a much loved mother grandma and sister.
Jo is survived by her husband Jack Greenwood, her six children, Glenn Greenwood, Gary (Judy) Greenwood, Gerald (Sherri) Greenwood, Greg Greenwood, Karen (John) Duncan, Grant Greenwood, 18 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren. The family invites you to join them for visitation at Chapel Hill Tuesday 2pm funeral service is at 3pm followed by the burial services at Maple Grove.
She was preceded in death by her parents Floyd and Ruby Jennings her grandson Jeremy Greenwood and great-grandson Layton Ellison.
