Anniston – Funeral services for Mr. Johnny Thomas Ledbetter, 70, of Anniston will be Friday, June 19, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at Chapel Hill Funeral Home with burial to follow at Old Davis Town Cemetery. The family will receive friends Thursday night from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
Mr. Ledbetter passed on June 17, 2015 at St. Vincent’s in Pell City.
Mr. Ledbetter is survived by his wife, Carolyn Jeffers Ledbetter; daughters, Wendi (Greg) Feazell, Jondra (Rod) Pearce, and Jamie (Jeff) Stephenson; sister, Matilda(Dewey) Knapp; brothers, Ralph (Mae) Ledbetter, and Cecil (Wanda) Ledbetter.
Pallbearers will be Sean Feazell, Tyler Feazell, Daniel Sheppard, Steven Turley, Greg Ledbetter and Michael Bradberry.
Mr. Ledbetter was preceded in death by his parents, Clint and Ruth Ledbetter; aunt, Ethel Harrison; and great-grandson, Will Feazell Brown.
Mr. Ledbetter was a native and lifelong resident of Calhoun County. Mr. Ledbetter was a member of Good News Assembly of God in Alexandria
Mr. Ledbetter was a retired Sgt. from the Anniston Police Department with 22 years of service; after retirement he worked with the Talladega County Sheriff’s Dept.; later he served with the Calhoun County Sheriff’s Dept. as a Deputy assigned to the Calhoun County Courthouse Security. Mr. Ledbetter was on the panel that drafted the first child abuse laws for the state of Alabama.
