Doug is survived by his sons Frank Reaves (Angela) and Robert Reaves (Alyson); his granddaughters Morrighan and Charli; his grandson Luke; his sisters Mattie Watkins and Doris Howell and several nieces and nephews.
Doug is preceded in death by his wife Lynda Reaves; his father Gene Reaves; his mother Winnie Jones Reaves and his brother Billie Reaves.
A visitation for Doug will be held Thursday, June 29, 2023 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Gray Brown-Service Mortuary & Crematory, 1329 Wilmer Ave, Anniston, Alabama 36201. A funeral service will occur Friday, June 30, 2023 at 2:00 PM at Gray Brown-Service Mortuary & Crematory with John Patterson and Eugene Crim officiating.
Doug will be laid to rest in Patton Chapel Cemetery, Lincoln, AL.
Serving as pallbearers will be Jim Mikle, John Patterson, Curtis Smith, Lucky King, David Heath and Sammy Taylor.
Honorary pallbearers will be Model City Wings Motorcycle Association.
Doug was a member of West Park Heights Baptist Church of Anniston. He was retired from Anniston Army Depot. He enjoyed riding motorcycles and was an avid Alabama football and softball fan. He was known for his kindness and loyalty to many friends. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
