Dennis W. Harper

Dennis Wayne Harper of Weaver, age 67 was born on October 9, 1953 and passed away on August 16, 2021. Funeral Services will be held on Friday, August 20th at 2:00 p.m. at Gray Brown- Service Mortuary with burial following the service at Crook Cemetery in Ohatchee, AL. Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m.

Mr. Harper is survived by his daughters, Tonya Renae Seda (Jason), Amanda Kay Harper (Katrina Barnes); son Eric Wayne Harper (Kristen); brothers, Larry James Harper and Eddie Harper (Pam); his grandchildren, Penelope Lagares and Tucker Lee Harper; his nephews Jamie Harper (Brooke), Johnny Holden ; nieces, Becky Holden Belyeu (Shane), Molly Gudding and Hannah Fallin.

Mr. Harper is preceded in death by his parents Pat and Ruth Harper.

Pallbearers will be Dennis Holden, Johnny Holden, Steve Vangilder, Jimmy Carter, Doug Giddens and Kenneth James.

Dennis Harper is survived by his two ex-wives; Mary Cristina Laboy and Lynda Tate Harper, a forever friend and caregiver. Dennis had a love for his fur baby Peaches. He was a Native to Weaver, AL. He attended Weaver High School where he was the first drum major. He worked in the oil fill for many years. He enjoyed coin collecting and even began a collection for his grandson, Tucker. He was loved by many and will be greatly missed.
