Cecilia Anita Young Patton

Funeral service for Cecila Anita Patton, 70 of Lineville will be 2:00 pm, Saturday, December 8, 2018 at Gray Brown-Service Mortuary in Anniston with Rev. Donald Jones and Pastor Mark Lee officiating. Burial will follow at Edgemont Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12:00pm-2:00pm prior to the service at the funeral home. Mrs. Patton passed away Thursday, December 6, 2018 at her home.

Survivors include her husband, Rodney Patton; sons, Douglas (Ellen) Jones and Clint (Jenean) Jones; grandchildren, Shelton Jones, William Jones, Dakota Jones, Andrew Adamson and Kaley McCain; great-grandchildren, Sophie Rider, Alyssa Rider, Noah Adams, Ava Jones and Lane Barker; sisters, Helen Young Tankersley Legg, Doris Wilson (Marshall) Brantley, Linda Young (Robert) Johnson; sisters-in-law, Sandra (Larry) Touart, Robin (John) Cornelious and Denise Dole; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her mother, Myrtice L. Young; father, Cecil M. Young; brothers, Elvin Young, Harvey Fain Young and Travis Young; sister, Opal Young Moody.

Pallbearers will be Shelton Jones, Will Jones, Jason Touart, Dakota Jones, Andrew Adamson and Heath Walter. Honorary Pallbearers will be Jeremy Character, Jeremy Touart, Johnny Cornelious and Justin Cornelious.

Cecila was born to Cecil M. Young and Ruby Pinson Young on April 17, 1948 in Anniston, Alabama. She graduated from Saks High School and married Rodney Patton in 1989. They lived together in Lineville, Alabama.

She worked in the telecommunication industry for 36 years with Continental Telephone Company through 4 mergers, and retired from Century Tel Communications Company.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
