Bill is survived by his son Barry C. Ward (Robbie); his brother Walter "Bud" Ward (Rita); his grandchildren Bradley Ward (Allison), Rock Ward (Brandy), his great grandchildren Brock Ward, Brooklyn Ward and Bayleigh Cate Ward and several nieces and nephews.
Bill was preceded in death by his wife Peggy A. Ward; his father Bernice Ward and his mother Cora Ward; his brothers Junior Ward and Bobby Ward and his sister Linda Ward.
Visitation will be held Thursday, September 15, 2022 6:00 p.m. -8:00 p.m at Chapel Hill Funeral Home. Funeral Service will be on Friday, September 16, 2022 at 2:00 p.m with Danny Harris and Rodney Rutherford officiating. Burial will follow at Chosea Springs Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Bradley Ward, Rock Ward, Brock Ward, Mike Ward, Larry Ward and Gerald Carroll.
Bill was a devout Christian who cherished his family and appreciated his life long career with the Coca- Cola Company. He honorably served in the Army National Guard. He was a graduate of White Plains High School in 1958 and later became a member of the White Plains Alumni Association. He was also an active member of the White Plains "Over the Hill Gang." He was a member of Chosea Springs Baptist Church where he served as a deacon of the church. He served with the Gideons Ministry and could often be found handing out Bibles at various events. He was a loving father, grandfather and friend to so many. He loved to laugh and enjoy life serving his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
