Sherrie Leona Taylor, age 59, was born to Clarice Tapscott Taylor and Melvin Boykin in Washington, D.C. where she resided until her death on December 22, 2021. As a proud Washingtonian, Sherrie worked in the D.C. Metropolitan area, first as a cosmetologist and later transitioned to a career as a Mortgage Broker. Sherrie is preceded in death by her brothers, Kevin A. Taylor and Dimitri Stevenson, and her father, Melvin. She is survived by her daughters Brittney Taylor and Taylor Brown; her granddaughter, Phoenix Brown; her mother, Clarice; two sisters, Debra Jenifer and Phyllis Stevenson-Jenkins; Brothers, Felix Stevenson and Kenneth Stevenson, as well as a host of nieces and nephews who loved and adored her. Sherrie will be deeply missed by her family and friends.
A gathering for Sherrie will be held Saturday, January 8, 2022 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at John M. Taylor Funeral Home, 147 DUKE OF GLOUCESTER ST, ANNAPOLIS, MD 21401.
