Born 1960 in Dayton Ohio to Dr. Thomas Hetzel and his wife Marilyn- died May 3rd, 2018 peacefully in her sleep. She is survived by her husband and love of her life Dr. Wayne Andersen, daughters Savannah and Erica, mother, Marilyn Omstead (Jake), step mother, Sharon Hetzel (Tom Blalock), mother in law JoAnn England. Sister, Susan Hallmark (Greg), brother Mark Hetzel (Tonya), sister, Stephanie Hetzel, and nieces and nephew, Allison, Melissa, Meggi, Alixx, Sara, and Tommy. Uncle, Gary Schubert (Elizabeth), cousins, Michael, William, and Wendy. Dogs, Rudder, Finley, and Scooby.
Lori attended Riverwood High School (Atlanta), Auburn University where she was a member of Chi Omega Sorority and attended medical school at The College of Charleston. A nurse anesthetist by profession, she loved helping people from a very young age. In addition to caring for people, animals and their well being were part of her selfless demeanor. She and her husband Wayne shared many sports and adventures and started a business, Optavia, that strives to help people reach healthier happier lives. Friends may visit with the family on Monday May 7, 2018 for a Memorial Gathering from 6:30 to 8:30 PM at the Chesapeake Bay Foundation, 6 Herndon Avenue, Annapolis, MD 21403. A Memorial Service will be held Tuesday May 8, 2018 at St. John Neumann Catholic Church, 620 N. Bestgate Road, Annapolis, MD 21401 at 10:30 AM. Inurnment is private.
