Mike was born in Tampa, Florida to Louise and George N. Johnson, Sr. In his 88 years he faithfully served God and Country as a US Army Chaplain and United Methodist minister. He earned an undergraduate degree from Clemson University, a degree in ministry from Emory University and a MBA from Syracuse University. After a full Army career as a chaplain, including service in Germany, Korea, and Vietnam, he continued to serve as the administrator of the United Methodist Home on the Eastern Shore.
He is predeceased by his first wife, Jean, and daughter, Susan. A devoted family man, Mike is survived by his loving wife, Alice, his four children, Jean, Holly, Mitchell, and Ed; he is also survived by his 8 grandchildren and four great grandchildren, and one sister Mary Louise. Mike and Alice settled in Heritage Harbour in 2001 and spent their time traveling, gardening, and enjoying the Annapolis community, volunteering at the Maryland State Archives, the National Archives and AAMC.
