Billy Gene Ramsay Jr. was born on May 19, 1983 in Ft. Myers, Florida and passed away Saturday, August 24, 2019. Billy grew up in Florida until age three at which point, he moved to Maryland and planted his roots. He is survived by his parents, Bill and Kelly Ramsay, his sister, Ashley Ramsay and most of all: his daughter, Emma Ramsay and her mother (and his best friend) Rebecca Sefton. He also has many aunts, uncles and cousins in both Maryland and Florida. He graduated from Broadneck High School in 2001 and started his college career at AACC but found that practical hands on work suited him well. He spent many years working in the food service industry and was always known as a hard worker in whatever job he had. He had many passions and everyone that knows him, knew that when he felt something: he felt it big and wholeheartedly. His passion, love for family and most of all wit were completely unmatched. His mind worked in different and mysterious ways but was always working. He had many viewpoints and opinions on any subject matter and knew an answer for any question that you could ever have. He loved family, music, shooting pool, football (fly Eagles fly), comedy and a good debate but what he loved most of all was being a daddy to his “Princess,” Emma. Billy put every ounce of his self into being the best daddy for Emma. Every breath and decision he made put her first and what would put a smile on her face and to protect her well-being. We will certainly never let her forget that. His sarcastic wit always kept everyone on their toes but made them laugh at the same time. His goofy side could be seen by those close to him and especially shined when he spent time with his daughter that he adored. Both his serious, inquisitive mind and goofy fun-loving side will be sorely missed.
Billy was not a religious person but we would love to have everyone stop by on Saturday, August 31, 2019 from noon to six pm for a celebration of life at his parents home: 811 Windsor Road, Arnold MD 2012.
In lieu of flowers: we would appreciate a donation to the National Alliance on Mental Health, a subject near to Billy’s heart that he was intensely passionate about.
