Barbara, the daughter of the late Alfred John Daggett and Katherine Woodrow Monday. She was the eldest child of the Daggett family. Barbara graduated from Annapolis High School in 1960. She met and married the love of her life, before graduating in 1959, Thomas E. Grierson III (Eddie). They were married for 43 years before Eddie’s death in February 2003. Barbara was employed by The State of Maryland, beginning her career in the Collections Department and retiring from the Income Tax Division. Barbara was adored by friends and family, and will be dearly missed by all that experienced her smile, friendship, love and enduring charm. She enjoyed spending time, as a child, with her horse (Silver) , flower and vegetable gardening, and playing bingo with her friends. Barbara had a great love of the ocean, the bay and her in-ground swimming pool.
She is survived by her three loving children; Sheri L. Tripodi, Karen A. Lowe, and Thomas E. Grierson IV (Tommy). Barbara is also survived by her five grandchildren; Carl A. Tripodi II, Carley Madison, Brent W. Tripodi, Brittney Lowe, and Michael Lowe Jr; and two great grandchildren, with one on the way; Logan Benitez, Cheyenne Madison, and yet to be born baby Madison, who is due to arrive in late January 2023.She is survived by her sisters Marylou Chaney, Betty Parkinson Wormwood, Kathleen Beight and one brother, Donald David Daggett. She was preceded in death by her brother; Alfred John Daggett, Jr. (Butch), Theodore Parkinson, Michael Wayne Daggett and sister Ethel Norfolk. (Tinker)
Visitation for Barbara will be held on Wednesday, November 16th from 10Am until 12:00pm at John M. Taylor Funeral Home, 147 Duke of Gloucester Street Annapolis, MD 21401. Immediately following, a service will be held in John Taylor’s chapel followed by a burial at Hillcrest Cemetery, 1911 Forrest Drive Annapolis, MD 21401.
