Ann Arbor, MI — Mary Margaret Manson (Genova), born in 1944 in Ann Arbor, MI to Harry I. Genova and C. Marion Genova, passed away peacefully in her home in Cookeville, TN with family by her side on Friday, 11/22/2019; she was just 75 years young.
Mary Margaret (Maggie) graduated from Pioneer High School in 1962 and began living her life working in the printing and publishing field. She is a very loved daughter, sister, mother, aunt, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She is survived by her significant other Steve Hurd, 2 daughters Kelley Vargas (Terry Cox); Katie (Guy) Beall, 2 sisters Christine (Christopher) Benson & Sara (Jim) McCrea, 2 brothers Nick (Sue) Genova & Ken (Jeanette) Genova, 4 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. She will be reunited with 1 younger brother Jim Genova (2011), her mom (2011) and dad (1996).
Mary Margaret was an avid bowler in her younger years, and continued to love crossword puzzles, riding on the back of motorcycles, dancing, her family, and living life to the fullest. She had an amazing heart and everyone who met her loved her. She was beautiful on the inside as well as the outside. She was loved by so many and will be missed by all.
The Muehlig Funeral Chapel, Ann Arbor, has been entrusted with arrangements. A private burial service will take place at Washtenog Memorial Park. It will be family only honoring Mary Margaret’s wishes.
In lieu of flowers, gifts can be made to your Humane Society of choice. Mary Margaret was a longtime supporter of them.
