Kleomeni graduated from the University of Tirana, earning an MD degree in 1964, and later completing his PhD dissertation on fever of unknown origin. He worked in Albania as an infectious disease specialist physician, before coming to the United States. In his free time, Kleomeni enjoyed fishing and gardening, and spending time with his beloved friends and family.
Kleomeni is survived by his wife Zhaneta, daughter Xheni, son Andi, daughter-in-law Aliza Guce-Cani and his grandson Arbor.
The family would like to thank Dr. Gregory Kalemkerian, MD head of thoracic oncology at Michigan Medicine, Rogel Cancer Center for the care and compassion he showed Kleomeni in his last 7+years battling cancer.
A service has already taken place at Muehlig Funeral Chapel, 403 S. 4th Ave, Ann Arbor, MI 48104 on Monday March 18, from 12:30-4:30pm. Burial has taken place at Forest Hills Cemetery in Ann Arbor, 415 Observatory St. Ann Arbor, MI 48104.
