Jackie Ritchie

Jackie was born in Detroit, MI on December 30, 1937 to Omer Lemay and Dorothy (Taylor) Lemay. She married James M. Ritchie in 1961 and was married for 53 years. He preceded her in death in 2014. She had one brother, William H. Lemay who preceded her in death in 1996. She leaves nieces, nephews, cousins and many, many friends who will miss her very much.

During her career, she worked as an administrative assistant for the Detroit Pistons Basketball Club, Chrysler and Parke-Davis/Warner Lambert. She received her degree as Certified Professional Secretary in 1967 and received the Michigan Division of the National Secretaries Association award for Secretary of the Year in 1975. She received her BA in Business Administration from Eastern Michigan University in 1977. She retired from Park-Davis/Warner Lambert in 1992 with a final title of Office Services Dept. Head Secretary. Jackie had a passion for knitting, yoga, water aerobics, traveling and wine tasting and for the people who enjoyed these with her.

There will be a celebration of Jackie’s life later this year.
