He grew up in Des Moines and graduated with honors from Roosevelt High School in the class of 2011. Following graduation, Michael enrolled at Eckerd College in St. Petersburg, Florida and earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Science, and minored in Economics and Marine Biology. While in Florida, Michael met Maci Kenna. They became best friends and ultimately were engaged to be married. Michael had begun his career at Wells Fargo Home Mortgage working in the inbound sales department, and had recently been promoted to a Mortgage Processor.
Michael always stayed active playing baseball, softball, beer pong, and playing videogames with Nick, Maci, and friends. Michael is proud to be a part of the Iowa Oaks AAU baseball team, and Future Business Leaders of America. He also enjoyed watching Netflix and The Walking Dead. Michael’s love for others was infectious and he was never afraid to show his love and affection to others. Many special memories were made when Michael, his mom, Nick, and Maci would attend movies; especially Star Wars. Most of all, Michael treasured spending time with his entire family and friends who all held a special place in his heart.
