In 1944 Mary Jane moved to Unionville, Missouri where she graduated from Unionville High School in 1948. Mary Jane moved to Des Moines, where she married Martin E. Coyne in 1957. Mary Jane worked as an accountant at the Boss Hotel until 1958, when she retired to spend more time caring for her six children.
Mary Jane is survived by her children, Mary Janette (Mike) May of Indianola, Suzanne Kay Coyne of Ankeny, Bryan Eugene Coyne of Corpus Christie, Texas, Theresa Marie Coyne of Ankeny, Janiece Renee (Jim) Thompson of Perry; grandchildren, Anthony (Jelena) May, Justin (Jamie) May, Danielle Busch, Logan (Katie) May, Patrick (fiancée Jamie) Thompson, Matthew (Samantha) Thompson, Adrian Thompson, and Austin Coyne; and great-grandchildren, Dacia Busch, Olivia May, Roman May, Dedan Busch, Maxwell May and Gianna May; siblings, Gloria Trammel of Unionville, Missouri and Melva Manjack of Chicago, Illinois. Mary Jane is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Martin; son, Mark Allen Coyne; and siblings, Norman Parker, Thelma Keene, Pauline Glavas, and Donald Parker.
In lieu of flowers, family requests donations be made to The American Heart Association.
Burial will take place at a later date at Pine Hill Cemetery, in Des Moines, Iowa.
