She was born on October 16, 1930, to Josephine (Bradley) and Cyrus Yantis at home on their family farm outside Findlay, Illinois. She lived in various places in Illinois, Iowa, and Indiana. Her final residence was at Mill Pond in Ankeny where she lived for almost 13 years. Jackie always loved working outside. She helped her father with the chores on the farm. She tended gardens at her own homes. She could be seen weeding the flower gardens at Mill Pond frequently.
A graveside service and burial will be held in Findlay, Illinois. She will be laid to rest beside her husband and parents. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests memorial donations be made to Mill Pond, 1201 SE Mill Pond Ct, Ankeny, IA 50021.
Jackie was preceded in death by her parents, Josephine and Cyrus Yantis; husband, Warren; sister, Emma Louise (Alfred) Maddock; son-in-law, Dwight Sage; and daughter-in-law, Joyce Jenkins. She is survived by her sister, Ruth Elaine (Robert) Wheeler of Jefferson City, Missouri.
Jacqueline's legacy lives on through her children: Brenda Sage of DeSoto, Iowa; Warren Jenkins, Karen (Richard) Thimmesch, of Ankeny Iowa; Marcia (Craig) Poling of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina; and Anita Jenkins of Avon, Indiana. She also leaves behind 9 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren. May Jackie Jenkins rest in eternal peace, forever embraced by the love and memories she leaves behind.
