October 15, 1942 – December 5, 2022
David W. Spratt went to be with his Heavenly Father on December 5, 2022. David was an extremely loving and caring husband, father, grandfather, brother, and uncle. He leaves behind his wife, of 59 years, Donna Spratt; a daughter, Diane Stiles and her husband Todd; a granddaughter, Lauren Erickson and her husband Dillan; a brother, Tom Spratt and his wife Tai; a sister, Barbara Angstead and her husband Jim; as well as several nieces and nephews. David was preceded in death by his parents, Ervin Spratt and Irline (Spratt) Capehart; his other daughter, Danna Spratt; his brother, Rick Spratt; and his sister, Deborah Stidham.
David served as a medic in the Army for 3 years. He retired from John Deere after 32 ½ years of dedicated service. He also enjoyed farming his small field outside of Elkhart. David loved taking nature rides on his John Deere Gator and driving his Harley Davidson. His wife Donna and him traveled and enjoyed several trips out west on their motorcycle.
David was loved, and will always be missed greatly by his family, friends, and other lives he touched while here on earth. We will always remember his deep love, compassionate heart, and generosity toward others.
There will be a graveside burial service later in the spring of 2023 for family members, and a “Celebration of Life” gathering to follow at that time.
