Cindy had a fulfilling career, dedicating three years as a registered nurse at Broadlawns before transitioning to various odd jobs. She eventually retired from Wal-Mart, where she made lasting connections with her colleagues.
In her free time, Cindy had a wide range of hobbies and interests. She found joy in feeding the deer and birds in her back yard, exploring garage sales and farmer's markets, and engaging in friendly games of dominoes, cards, and cribbage with her loved ones. She enjoyed watching the Game Show Network and working on crossword puzzles. During her younger years, she enjoyed practicing karate, riding motorcycles, camping, and bowling. She took pride in tending to her beautiful yard and had a talent for crochet and embroidery. Cindy also had a fondness for Pepsi, White Zinfandel, and dark chocolate.
Cindy will be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She is survived by her son, Michael Foster, her granddaughter, Ashley Wilson, and her great-granddaughters, Deja and Addison Wilson. Cindy is also survived by her brothers, Kim and Noel Brumble.
Cindy was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Carl Foster, her daughter, Pamela Oliver, her granddaughter, Amber Oliver, her brothers, Ron, Buck, and Tim Brumble, as well as her parents, Roger and Dorothy Brumble.
A celebration of Cindy's life will be held at the family's home in the coming weeks. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that any charitable donations be made in Cindy's name to the Animal Rescue League of Central Iowa.
