A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held Saturday, September 6th at 10:30am at First United Methodist Church, 516 Kellogg Ave, Ames, with Inurnment to follow at Ames Municipal Cemetery. Visitation will be held prior to services (10:00am-10:30am) at First United Methodist Church, 516 Kellogg, Ames. IA 50010.
Wilma was born February 8, 1945 in Langdon, ND to Edwin Kays and Helen Stokke Kays. Wilma grew up in the area of Cavalier County ND where her family lived; she graduated from Langdon High School in 1963.
Wilma was married to Marvin Holt in 1963 and they were blessed with two daughters, Joann and Barb. Through her life Wilma enjoyed sewing, knitting, needle work, cross stitching. Wilma and Marvin ended the marriage in 1988.
Wilma was preceded in death by her parents Edwin Kays and Helen Stokke Kays, her brothers Edward Kays, William "Jackie" Kays and her sister Altie Albrecht and her former husband Marvin Holt.
Wilma is survived by her children Joann Holt-Angerman (Bill) of Mazeppa, Minnesota and Barb Anderson (Jay) of Ames Iowa, grandson Zane Angerman age 9, granddaughters Annika Angerman age 11 and Amelia Angerman age 7 and sisters Hazel Miller and Gladys Kays.
Memorial Contributions may be directed to either the Bliss Cancer Center or the Israel Family Hospice House in Wilma’s name.
