Theresa Fay Coombes

Theresa Coombes, of Amarillo, Texas, passed away on March 26, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. She was the most faithful, supportive & loving wife, friend and mother anyone could hope to have. She was 78 years old.

Theresa was born on May 27, 1946, in Amarillo, to Oland and Sarah Allen. She attended St. Mary Catholic School and later met the love of her life, Pete Coombes. The couple married on September 3, 1976, and together they built a life full of love and faith.

A dedicated member of Palo Duro Cowboy Church, Theresa was deeply involved in the community and cherished her faith. Her family was her greatest joy, and her grandchildren were the apples of her eye. She was known for her kindness, generosity, and willingness to help others. Theresa's gentle spirit and loving heart touched all who knew her.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Oland and Sarah Allen; her sons, Daniel and Joshua Coombes; and her brothers, Michael and George Allen.

Theresa leaves behind her beloved husband, Pete Coombes; her sons, Terry Coombes and wife Sandra, and Anthony Coombes and wife Brittany; her brother, Greg Allen; along with five grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, and a host of extended family and friends.

A Celebration of Life will be held on April 11, 2025, at 10:00 AM at Palo Duro Cowboy Church in Canyon, Texas.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Palo Duro Cowboy Church in Theresa’s memory.
