Services will be at 3 p.m. Saturday in Memorial Park Chapel of Memories with Jerry Kline officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Arrangements are by Memorial Park Funeral Home.
Mrs. Parker was born Dec. 22, 1924, in Seymour to Ceph and Lora Biggerstaff. She was a member of East Amarillo Church of Christ for more than 30 years, and for the last several years, she was a member of Comanche Trail Church of Christ. Rowena worked for United Supermarkets as a checker for more than 20 years and retired in 1993.
Mrs. Parked loved watching her grandchildren and great-
grandchildren play baseball and was an avid Texas Rangers fan. Her favorite pastime was making handmade things, such as quilts and afghans, for family members to enjoy and share. She always looked forward to her annual trips with her sisters and daughter. She married James Gleghorn in September 1940 in Seymour; he preceded her in death in March 1983. Rowena remarried in June 1993 to Amos Parker in Amarillo. He preceded her in death in June 2001.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husbands, James Gleghorn and Amos Parker; a brother; and two sisters.
Survivors include a son, Charles Gleghorn and wife Linda of Amarillo; a daughter, Margarett Lopez and husband Steve of Pampa; a brother, Donnie Biggerstaff and wife Jan of Irving; three sisters, Bonnie Barnes of Dallas, Nina Bowles and husband Richard of Lubbock and Sharion Moore and husband Charles of Midland; five grandchildren; 13 great-
grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews and other family and friends.
The family suggests memorials be to a favorite charity.
