Rosella Ann Schulte Curry, age 79, resident of Amarillo, Texas died peacefully Wednesday, December 9, 2020 in Grand Prairie, Texas with her family. She was born on October 27, 1941 in Tulia, Texas to Adolph H. and Rose A. (Pinkleman) Schulte. Rosella graduated from Tulia High School in 1960 where she was a member of the marching band and played basketball. She graduated as a registered nurse from St. Anthony’s School of Nursing in 1963. Rosella married Daniel E. Curry on June 8, 1964, in Tulia, Texas. She was a nurse at Amarillo Eye Center with Dr. J. Franklin Howell for over 50 years until they retired in 2016. She was a long-time member of St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church, Amarillo.
She was preceded in death by her: Husband, Daniel, in Dec. 2015; sister, Marcella Schulte, Jan. 1931; brothers, A. Hubert Schulte, Feb. 1956 and Gerald J. Schulte, Jan. 2000; sisters, Mildred K. Schulte Callas, Nov. 2000, Caroline A. Schulte Dietz, Nov. 2011, Elizabeth L. (Betty Lou) Schulte Sharp, Feb. 2018.
She is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law: Shawn Curry and James of Grand Prairie, Texas and Dana Arnold and Jeff of Garland, Texas; numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and her special little guy, Tanner Callas. The Reverend John Valdez will officiate a graveside service on Wednesday, December 16, 2020, 1:00 P.M., at Memorial Park Funeral Home and Cemetery, Amarillo.
