Ronald Davis

Mr. Davis was born in Shamrock, Texas and then moved to Canyon, Texas. He graduated from Canyon High school May 1963 and college at WTSU in May 1968 with his bachelor’s degree.

Ron married Barbara in 1975 and had been married for 25 years until Barbara passed away. They had a good life together. They had 2 children and 3 grandchildren.

He started his photography career in high school and college. Then continued to make it a lifetime career. He enjoyed taking pictures of all things and people of all ages. He was passionate about his faith and was a member of Avondale Baptist Church, Coulter Road Baptist Church and Paramount Baptist Church. He always felt serving the church and spreading the word of Christ was important. He also invested time in building an Amway business. He loved to invest in people lives to help them become a better person.

Survivors include daughter Jennifer Chambers and husband Clint and son John Davis and wife Monica; grandchildren are Sarah Chambers and Sean Chambers and Emiliana Davis. Brother Rick Davis and wife Kim; sister Barbara Dewey and husband Wayne; sister-n-Law Jenny Davis.

He is preceded in death by parents Marvin and Jewell Davis; wife Barbara Davis; Ron and Barbara’s infant son; an infant grandson Isaias Davis; brother Don Davis and Harold Davis.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggest that memorials be made to your local church, helping ministries spread the word of Christ.
