A celebration of Raymond's life will be held on Saturday, February 15, 2020 at 2pm in the Kwahadi Art Museum located at 9151 Interstate 40 in Amarillo.
Raymond was born June 3rd,1947 in Caddo County Oklahoma. He was a graduate of Dumas High School, class of 1965, and later attended NTSU and graduated from Odessa College with Phi Theta Kappa honors.
He worked as an R.N for 15 years as a cardiac intensive care nurse and ACLS instructor and retired from Baptist St.Anthonys. Raymond was a long time advocate and board member of Panhandle Independent Living Center, as well as a long devoted member of Olsen Park Church of Christ.
He is survived by his brother,Waymond Aplin and his Wife Barbara Aplin of Amarillo, Brother Gayland Aplin of Amarillo , Daughter Cassandra “Casey” Elliott and husband Brad Elliott of Pampa, 6 grandchildren, James Ramey, Robin Escoto, Conner Gandy, Johnna Gandy, Grayson Gandy and Annabeth Elliott, and 3 great grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by His parents Franklin and Camarine Aplin and brother William Aplin.
