Randy Keith Ray

Memorial Service will be held at 11:00am, Tuesday June 16, 2020 at Family Life Church, 3900 SW. 58th Ave. Amarillo, Texas, with Pastor Robbie Ashlock officiating.

Randy was born March 19, 1953 to Cecil and Ruth Ray in Amarillo, Texas where he was a lifelong resident.

Randy graduated from Amarillo High School in 1972. After high school he attended college in Dallas Texas where he earned a degree and later became a Master Mechanic. He owned and operated C&R Automotive in Amarillo for over 40 years. Randy was a well-respected business owner who was always fair to his customers and as a result enjoyed a loyal following. He was a hard-working man who was never afraid to get his hands dirty.

Randy was blessed with beautiful twin daughters, Crystal and Cassie, before marrying the love of his life, Glenda Trimble in 1987. Randy was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He loved NASCAR, the Dallas Cowboys, his dogs, and cherished his many friendships.

Randy is survived by his loving wife Glenda; daughter Crystal Whittenburg and grandson Maddox Randy Ray of Colorado; Cassie Jackson, husband Chad, and grandchildren Zane, Shelby and Presley of Arizona; daughter Jessica Powell and granddaughters Josie and Alex of Illinois; Glenda’s two children, Angie Holcomb and Wade Moore and their families of Texas; brother Philp Ray and wife Debbie of Texas; brother Scott Ray of Amarillo; sister Vicki Jones and husband Bob of Delaware; sister Linda Bacher and husband Cleeb of Texas; sister Gloria Land of Amarillo; and many nieces and nephews.

Randy was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Sonja Grimes.

Family requests flowers for the memorial service be sent directly to Family Life Church 3900 SW. 58th Ave Amarillo, Texas 79110. Family suggests any donations be sent to American Cancer Society or Amarillo-Panhandle Humane Society.
