Patsy Jane Pierson

Patsy Jane Pierson, 70 of Amarillo passed away March 16, 2013. Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, March 20, 2013 at Bolton Street Baptist Church with Brother Leon Green officiating. Interment will be at Memorial Park Cemetery by Memorial Park Funeral Home, 6969 I-40 East. Patsy was born January 28, 1943 in Clinton, Oklahoma to Chester and Jessie Russell. She attended Amarillo High School. Patsy married the love of her life, Harold Pierson, on November 2, 1959 in Amarillo. She was a long time member of Bolton Street Baptist Church and loved her Sunday School. Patsy was a homemaker and was a loving and caring wife and mother. She was an excellent cook and she enjoyed doing crossword puzzles and loved to bowl. She also loved to play with her grandkids. Patsy will be greatly missed by all who knew her and loved her. Patsy was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Loyel and Kenneth Russell; daughter, Martha Diane Pierson; and three great-grandchildren, Kali Jade, Robert and John Allen. Patsy is survived by her husband, Harold Pierson of Amarillo; son, Harold Pierson, Jr. and wife Tammy of Amarillo; daughter, Kathy Clements and husband Jason of Amarillo; brothers, Bob Russell of Chickasha, Oklahoma and Odell Russell of Amarillo; sister, Phyllis Fuller of Amarillo; seven grandchildren, Sara, Jessica, Rachel, Kimberly, Joe, Kasandra and Kloey; three great-grandchildren, Brandon, Hannah and Jade; also by numerous nieces, nephews, brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials be sent to Bolton Street Baptist Church, Penny’s for Price, 2555 S. Bolton Amarillo, Texas 79103.
