Lois Forsyth Lovett of Amarillo passed away on December 18, 2024, and entered the gates of Heaven. A visitation will be held on Thursday, December 26, 2024, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Memorial Park Funeral Home. A funeral service will take place on Friday, December 27, 2024, at 10:00 AM, also at Memorial Park Funeral Home, with burial to follow.
Lois was born on September 1, 1939, in Elida, New Mexico, to Edward and Helen Forsyth, and was one of five siblings. She met her soulmate, TW Lovett, and they were married on August 16, 1958. They shared 52 years together until TW's passing on August 19, 2010. Lois was a loving, kind, and generous woman, whose family was always her top priority. She had a deep love for gardening, reading, and clipping articles from the newspaper. However, the greatest joys of her life were the birth of her children and grandchildren. Lois worked for the Amarillo globe news for over 20 years when she retired in 2014. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
Lois is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and siblings Francis Littlejohn, Lynn Forsyth, and Nelson Forsyth.
She is survived by her children Thomas Lovett, Glenn Lovett and his wife Ximena, Dean Lovett and his wife Kim, Lorrain Littlejohn, and Edith Harnish and her husband Jason. She is also survived by her sister Evelyn Mitchell, and her grandchildren: Logan Lovett, Maegan Daniel, Drew Lovett, Daniel Hall, Tiffany Campbell, Dalton Harnish, Blake Harnish, Ian Harnish, Isaiah Harnish. Additionally, Lois is survived by her great-grandchildren: Briley Hall, Mavrick Hall, Rowdy Messer, Wyatt Lovett, Chandler Campbell, Creed Messer, and Barrett Campbell, along with numerous loving family members and friends.
