Linda was born December 28, 1945, in Rule TX, to Delton and Zelma Richardson. The family moved to Lubbock TX in 1957. She attended Lubbock High School and graduated in 1964. In 1967 she and Jimmy Layland had a daughter, Nancy. In Lubbock she worked at Minters with her sister Helen and brother in law Kieffa. She worked at the Holiday Inn with Sis and met Brent S. Roper who also worked there. She married Brent in 1986 and they moved to Amarillo in 1989. In Amarillo she worked at the Clements Unit until she retired in 1996. Linda and Brent enjoyed riding horses with the Partners in Palo Duro and traveling to Idaho to visit family there. Linda was a crafter and made scrap books of and for her family and friends. She cherished the memories that the scrapbooks held and wanted to share that with her family. Linda also liked to make jewelry and she and Nancy made many bracelets together. Linda crafted greeting cards that she sent to family and friends on holidays and special occasions. These mementos will be cherished by her family.
