Kenneth grew up in Umbarger, Texas. He attended Canyon School District where he was active in sports and rodeo. He enlisted in the United States Marine Corp in March of 1972 in Canyon, Texas. His first duty station was in Albuquerque, New Mexico. From there he went to Camp Lejeune, North Carolina. His last duty station was in Kansas City, Missouri where he retired in March of 1976. During, his time in the Marines, he rose to the rank of Lance Corporal and was, awarded The National Defense Service Medal. After leaving the military, Kenneth joined the Amarillo Fire Department, becoming a driver in 2001. In 2010, after 30 years of service, he decided it was time to retire. Among Kenneth's many accomplishments he was, at one time, a Golden Glove Boxer. He was proud to achieve that level in a sport he loved. After retirement Kenneth enjoyed being an avid outdoorsman, he loved fishing, winning many Sun Country Bass Tournaments, he also loved hunting, golfing, riding horses and most of all riding his Harleys.
Kenneth was a loving father, papa, husband, and dear friend to many. He loved working with his hands and creating knives, leatherwork and many more projects, as he was a master of all trades. Kenneth also enjoyed Coors Cowboy Club, also cooking and always serving the community. He loved cooking hearty meals and never served a meal without ending with dessert.
Kenneth is survived by his wife; Kim Kiker, daughter; Kelsey Kiker of Amarillo, step son; Brayden Black, step daughters; Parri Heck and husband Jared of Georgia; and Brylee Daniel of Amarillo. Two sisters; Cherlyn Swain of Weatherford, Texas and Sheila Kiker of Denver, Colorado; 4 Grandchildren, Oakley and Kelton Fletcher of Amarillo, Tatum and Tracen Heck of Georgia.
His parents, grandparents, and great-grandparents preceded him in death.
Kenneth’s family and his many friends will forever miss him.
