Jerry Clyde Williams 82, of Amarillo, Texas went to his heavenly home December 31, 2022. He was born in Houston, Texas to Clyde and Peggy Williams on January 20, 1940. He was the oldest of five. He attended Odessa High School in 1957. Jerry married Betty White on May 2, 1959. He worked as a boilermaker and went to work at Pantex in December of 1970 where he spent the remainder of his career, retiring in 2005. Jerry was a member of the Masonic Lodge #730 where he achieved the level of 32nd Degree Master Mason. He was a member and deacon of West Amarillo Christian Church and later Washington Avenue Christian Church. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and golf, but he loved playing his guitar and singing most of all. Jerry’s faith and family were the most important things in his life.
He is survived by his wife; Betty Ruth Williams, two sons; Jerry Wayne Williams and John Ray Williams and spouse LaVaila Williams, one daughter; LaJuana Kay McGehee, 8 Grandchildren, 9 Great-Grandchildren, one brother; Garvin Williams and wife Linda Williams, two sisters; Donna Woodard and husband Steve Woodard, and Theresa Seiber, and one brother-in-law; Jack Baldwin.
Jerry is preceded in death by his parents; Clyde and Peggy Williams, one sister; Wyleen Baldwin, and one brother-in-law Hugh Seiber.
He will be missed by both family and friends.
