J.E. Bell, 79 of Amarillo passed away April 28, 2014. Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Friday, May 2, 2014 at Memorial Park Funeral Home Chapel of Memories with Loran Harper of Comanche Trail Church of Christ officiating. Burial will be at Memorial Park Cemetery by Memorial Park Funeral Home, 6969 I-40 East. J.E. was born October 27, 1934 in Memphis, Texas to John Everett and Gladys Jones Bell. He graduated from Wellington High School in Wellington, Texas. J.E. served his country in the U.S. Air Force for 11 years. He later worked in the oil fields and then was self-employed for several years. J.E. loved working with the Benevolence Program at Comanche Trail Church of Christ as well as Improve Your English and World Bible School. J.E. was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Ronald Bell. J.E. is survived by his wife, LeDon Bell of Amarillo; two sons, Michael Bell and wife Laura of Greeley, Colorado and David Bell of Burleson, TX; five daughters, Teresa Robinson and husband Troy of Benton, Arkansas, Lynn Cochran and husband Brice of Windsor, Colorado, Rhonda Lord and husband Gary of Parker, Colorado, Brenda Vetten and husband Scott of Ft. Worth, TX and Linda Siegert and husband Dennis of Ft. Worth, TX; a sister Frances Terry and husband Gene of Greeley, CO also by 14 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. The family suggest memorials be sent to Comanche Trail Church Christ Benevolence Fund or Children’s Emergency Home at the Church, P.O. Box 30516, Amarillo, Texas 79120; or to your favorite charity.
