J. B. Naylor, 90, of Amarillo, passed away Monday, February 27, 2012, in Amarillo. Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 pm Saturday, March 3, 2012 at Trinity Fellowship West Sanctuary with Pastor John Love officiating. Burial will follow in Llano Cemetery under the direction of Griggs-Schooler-Gordon Funeral Directors, 5400 S. Bell, Amarillo, TX.
J. B. was born August 23, 1921 in Portales, NM to Joe and Esther Naylor and was one of four children. He graduated from Portales High and served in the U. S. Coast Guard as a 1st Class Petty Officer during WWII. J.B. married Betty Easter in April 1951 and they moved their young family to Amarillo in 1955. J.B. was employed with G & W Plumbing where he was a Master and Journeyman Plumber and a member of the Local 196 Union until his retirement. He attended Trinity Fellowship Church where he taught Sunday School classes and served as an Ordained Deacon. J.B. is preceded in death by his parents, two sons, Kelton and Joe Naylor, a brother Nelson Naylor and two sisters, Lois Naylor Wright and Ann Naylor Culpepper.
The family wishes to thank the staff at Plum Creek Facilities and Interim Hospice Care where he received the best care with such passion.
He is survived by his: Wife, Betty of the home, two daughters, Jade Jennings and spouse Mickey and Jona Huber and spouse Jake both of Amarillo, two sons, Nelson Naylor and spouse Korinne and Russell Naylor and spouse Candice of Amarillo and daughter-in-law Carla Naylor of Austin. 10 Grandchildren and 11 Great Grandchildren along with many nephews and nieces.
Family will receive friends 5 pm to 7 pm Friday, March 2, 2012 at the Funeral Home.
