After Jim retired he and Debbie moved to Lake Fork where he could be close to one of the things he enjoyed in life and that was fishing. He loved taking his grandkids and son-in-laws fishing where some great memories and stories were made. He and Debbie loved going camping with their friends they made after retirement. They travelled many places including Mission, Texas and various places in Colorado.
Jim had other hobbies he enjoyed also. He was a talented woodworker and made many precious pieces for his family that they will cherish forever. He loved finding antique clocks and bring them back to life.
He is survived by two daughters, Staci Doak and her husband Michael and Stephanie Gilbert and her husband Paul all of Amarillo. One brother, Bill Wyatt of Azel, Texas. Five grandchildren, Skyler Doak and wife Jasmine, Larissa Baker and husband Nash, Trevor Taylor, Austin Gilbert and Hannah Doak. Five Great Grandchildren, Zaily Doak, Wyatt Baker, Korbyn Taylor, Kennedy Baker and Ziggy Doak.
Jim was a mentor to many and would give a helping hand to anyone who needed one. He is going to be greatly missed by all who knew him, but the great memories will last forever.
