BIOGRAPHY: Gerald Farris Skaggs went to be with the Lord Thursday, July 25, 2013. Gerald was born June 3, 1923 in Vinson, OK to William H. (Mann) and Helen Skaggs. During his life he lived in many places, but no matter where he lived he always considered Vinson his “home place”. He was a carpenter in Amarillo most of his working career. He retired in 1985 and moved to Lake Meredith until July 2011 when he moved to Emeritus @ Seville Estates in Amarillo because of his health and to be closer to family. Gerald was a World War II Army veteran and a Mason. Our family wants to send special thanks to the VA Home Based Primary Care, Hospice Integracare and to his Seville “family” who loved on him and cared for him daily. We feel blessed to have found such a home for him to spend his remaining days. We thank each and every one of you who helped our father and us on this part of his journey.
Private graveside services will be Monday, July 29, 2013 2:00 pm at Memory Gardens Cemetery with Lance Herrington officiating.
